Job summary

Placements24, a leading fashion retailer in Cape Town, seeks a Lead Store Visual Merchandiser to elevate brand visuals across Cape Town stores. This on-site role leads a small team, translates seasonal campaigns into captivating displays, and ensures brand standards in-store.

You will partner with buying, merchandising and marketing to create engaging layouts, train staff, manage inventory flow and stay ahead of trends. Travel within the region is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in visual merchandising, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role within the retail sector.
• A strong portfolio showcasing creative visual merchandising concepts and execution, preferably in fashion retail.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement captivating visual merchandising strategies aligned with brand aesthetics and marketing campaigns for all Cape Town locations.
• Create and maintain visually appealing product displays, window presentations, and in-store layouts that enhance the shopping experience and drive product visibility.
• Train and lead a team of visual merchandisers and store associates on visual merchandising standards and techniques.
• Collaborate closely with buying, merchandising, and marketing departments to ensure cohesive brand messaging and product presentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with store teams to ensure effective product placement and replenishment.
• Regularly visit Cape Town stores to assess display execution, provide feedback, and ensure brand consistency.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and new visual merchandising techniques to keep our brand presentation fresh and innovative.
• Manage visual merchandising budgets and resource allocation effectively.
