Placements24 is seeking an ambitious Assistant Retail Merchandising Manager to join our fashion retail team in Cape Town. You will partner with the Merchandising Manager to plan, develop, and execute compelling visual merchandising strategies that enhance the in-store experience and drive sales across multiple stores.

The role requires a keen eye for aesthetics, a strong portfolio, and the ability to collaborate with buying and marketing.

Qualifications

• Proven visual merchandising or retail display experience in fashion/apparel.
• Strong portfolio showcasing concepts and execution.
• Excellent understanding of retail environments and customer flow.
• Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing seasonal visual merchandising plans and store layouts.
• Support the Merchandising Manager in product placement, display creation, and in-store branding initiatives.
• Collaborate with buying and marketing to reflect current trends and promotions.
• Conduct store visits to assess merchandising standards and provide feedback to store teams.
• Train staff on visual merchandising best practices and product knowledge.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of display elements.
• Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improving product presentation.
• Maintain brand guidelines across all channels.
• Contribute to in-store events and visual merchandising campaigns.
