Placements24 is seeking a creative Visual Merchandiser for a premier fashion retailer in Cape Town. You will translate brand aesthetics into compelling in-store displays and window concepts to attract customers and elevate the shopping experience.

The role requires a strong portfolio, design sense, and collaboration with marketing and buying teams. You will maintain merchandising standards, lead staff training, and contribute to promotional events in the vibrant South African market.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser, preferably in fashion retail.
• Strong portfolio showcasing visual display concepts and execution.
• Excellent understanding of design principles, color theory, and spatial arrangement.
• Proficiency in graphic design software is a plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative window displays and in-store visual merchandising concepts that align with brand guidelines and seasonal campaigns.
• Create attractive product layouts and displays that maximize sales potential and enhance the customer shopping experience in Cape Town.
• Ensure all visual merchandising standards are consistently maintained across the store, including lighting, signage, and fixture placement.
• Collaborate with the marketing and buying teams to plan and execute promotional activities and new product launches.
• Monitor inventory levels and liaise with stock management to ensure effective product flow for displays.
• Stay updated on the latest visual merchandising trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices.
• Train store staff on visual merchandising standards and best practices.
• Prepare visual merchandising reports and feedback for management.
