Job summary

HENSOLDT South Africa is seeking an experienced Technical Support Manager to lead the Customer Technical Support function and optimise delivery of services, projects, and lifecycle sustainment of deployed systems.

The ideal candidate will have a BEng/BSc in Electronic Engineering with 10+ years of experience in technical support environments, strong project and budget management skills, and the ability to lead a high-performing team in a customer-focused setting.

Qualifications

Minimum BEng/BSc in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
10+ years in technical support, ILS, customer support, or systems sustainment.
Proven experience leading technical support teams and customer projects.
Experience in project execution, customer support operations, and services management.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of customer technical support services and service desk operations to ensure high customer satisfaction and system availability.
Manage technical support projects, allocate resources, budgets, revenue, and cost control for profitable execution.
Coordinate customer engagement, sales support, bid activities, and stakeholder communication to grow the business.
Implement risk management, health and safety, compliance, and governance processes to minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
Lead, coach, and develop the technical support team through performance management and capability development.
