Placements24 is recruiting a Head Surf School Instructor for a premier surf school in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. The role oversees all instructional activities, leads a team of instructors, and ensures high-quality, safe surfing experiences for students of all ages and levels.

The candidate will develop curricula, manage equipment, and uphold the school's reputation in the Leisure & Sports sector, with flexibility for weekends and peak seasons in Mossel Bay.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of surf instruction experience with leadership/supervision experience
• Internationally recognized surf instructor certification (e.g., ISA Level 1 or higher)
• Current surf rescue, first aid and CPR certifications are mandatory
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Mossel Bay surf breaks and local conditions

Aufgaben

• Develop and refine surf coaching programs and lesson plans for all levels
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate surf instructors
• Conduct lessons with emphasis on technique, safety, and teaching methods
• Ensure safety protocols and rescue procedures are followed during lessons
• Manage equipment inventory and maintenance for surf school
• Coordinate with management on scheduling and bookings
• Represent the school at local events and maintain relationships with local operators
• Keep accurate records of lessons, progress, and equipment status
