Job summary

Placements24 is seeking enthusiastic and certified Water Sports Instructors to join a coastal resort in Mossel Bay. You will teach surfing, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, ensuring safe and engaging experiences for guests of all ages.

Requirements include certification in water sports instruction (Surfing Australia, ISA Kayak Instructor), current First Aid and CPR, and excellent swimming with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Certification in water sports instruction (e.g., Surfing Australia, ISA Kayak Instructor).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Previous experience instructing water sports is desirable.
• Excellent swimming ability and comfort in open water.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safe and informative water sports lessons for individuals and groups, adhering to safety regulations.
• Ensure all equipment is in good condition and properly stored after use.
• Provide on-water supervision and immediate assistance in case of emergencies.
• Educate participants on water safety, environmental awareness, and responsible ocean enjoyment.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of beach equipment and activity areas.
• Maintain a positive and encouraging attitude to create a fun, memorable experience.
