Placements24 is seeking a Subsea Controls Engineer with strong experience in umbilical systems to join a leading subsea engineering team in Paarl. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years' experience in subsea controls engineering
• Strong knowledge of umbilical systems and related hardware
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical power distribution for subsea
• Familiarity with PLC programming, SCADA, and HMI development

Responsibilities

• Design subsea control modules (SCMs) and hydraulic/electrical systems
• Develop specs for umbilicals, cables, and termination hardware
• Analyze subsea control components such as HPUs and valves
• Develop control logic and software, including PLC and HMI
• Test and commission subsea control systems onshore and offshore
• Troubleshoot technical issues during project execution
