Placements24 seeks a Senior Subsea Engineer to lead design and execution of complex subsea field developments in the Oil & Gas sector. Based in Paarl, Western Cape, the role demands extensive experience with subsea hardware, installation, and project leadership.

You will guide engineering teams, coordinate with vendors and clients, and drive safe, cost-effective project delivery across all phases including commissioning and start-up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of subsea engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
• Experience in design, specification and procurement of subsea production systems.
• In-depth knowledge of subsea hardware, installation procedures and interfaces.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and engineering of subsea production systems (wellheads, trees, manifolds, flowlines, umbilicals).
• Develop technical specifications for subsea equipment and services.
• Oversee fabrication, testing, and installation of subsea components and infrastructure.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance during all project phases.
• Manage interfaces with other disciplines, vendors, and clients for integrated execution.
• Develop subsea field development plans considering feasibility, cost, and risk.
• Perform flow assurance, pipeline integrity, and structural mechanics analyses.
• Provide technical support during offshore operations including commissioning and start-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of subsea production systems, including wellheads, trees, manifolds, flowlines, and umbilical systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related field.
