Job summary

C3 Resource Investments (Pty) Ltd in Gauteng seeks an Engineering Manager to lead complex structural projects and feasibility studies. You will take technical responsibility for major packages, oversee drawings, analyses, and design deliverables for permitting, tendering and construction.

The role requires 8+ years in structural engineering, ECSA registration, and proven leadership across multi-discipline teams. A strong focus on QA, client liaison, and project profitability is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• ECSA Professional registration required.
• Eight years+ of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Proficiency with structural software: Prokon, Robot, Tekla, Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex feasibility studies, concept designs and performance-based design initiatives.
• Prepare clear structural drawings, specs and technical reports for permitting and construction.
• Perform structural analysis with hand calculations or FE methods and ensure code compliance.
• Provide design alternatives addressing durability, lifecycle cost, and sustainability.
• Manage multiple projects; act as Project Engineer or Technical Lead on major contracts.
• Oversee financials and risk registers; ensure profitability and deliverable acceptance.
• Coordinate external consultants and senior reviewers; mentor junior staff.
• Lead site teams during critical construction phases and participate in risk/claims assessments.
