Job summary

AECOM in Gauteng seeks a Senior Engineer (Civil/Structural) to lead design teams, deliver high-quality structural drawings, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary groups. You will guide junior engineers, develop designs, review work, and ensure safe, cost-effective solutions on projects in a dynamic environment.

The role requires proficiency with Revit, Tekla, ETABS, SAP2000, Robot, and related BIM tools, plus experience with international design codes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) with Pr.Eng. registration.
• 8+ years post-qualification experience.
• Ability to lead teams and develop client relationships.
• Strong communication, analytical and numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design team of junior and mid-level staff and mentor them daily.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver fully coordinated designs.
• Provide coaching to increase technical competence and ensure high-quality output.
• Interface with clients on schedules, meetings and project issues.
