Kendrick Recruitment in Cape Town is seeking a talented Senior Pastry Chef for a renowned fine dining restaurant.

You will lead daily pastry operations, mentor a small team, and contribute to seasonal dessert concepts while upholding uncompromising quality and presentation.

Candidates must be based in Cape Town or willing to relocate, with at least 5 years of high-end pastry experience.

Qualifications

• Relevant culinary or pastry qualification - essential.
• Minimum 5 years’ pastry experience in a high-end professional kitchen - essential.
• Experience in fine dining, semi-fine dining or luxury hospitality establishment - essential.
• Experience working in a high-volume kitchen.
• Stable work history with contactable references.

Responsabilités

• Lead and oversee all daily operations of the pastry section.
• Prepare and present desserts, pastries, breads and baked goods to approved recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure the pastry section is fully prepared and ready before each service.
• Supervise; support and develop junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
• Assist with seasonal menu development and new dessert concepts.
• Maintain high standards of presentation and attention to detail.
