Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control, stock management, or a similar role.
• Proven experience in leading inventory control initiatives and managing inventory teams.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, techniques, and software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Experience with cycle counting and physical inventory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of inventory control policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and stock audits to ensure data accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Analyse inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimise stock levels.
• Manage and maintain the inventory management system (IMS) for data integrity and efficiency.
• Develop and track KPIs such as inventory accuracy, turnover, and carrying costs.
• Collaborate with procurement and operations to align inventory strategies with forecasts.
• Train and mentor junior inventory staff, providing guidance and support.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices in inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to inventory.
