Placements24 is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead infrastructure automation, deployment strategies, and scalable systems for a fast-growing SaaS company. You will design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring to ensure reliability and scale from anywhere in South Africa.

You will lead a team of engineers in a remote setting, apply cloud and automation best practices, and drive improvements across deployment, security, and performance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in DevOps, Systems Administration, or Software Engineering with a focus on automation.
• Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
• Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
• Solid understanding of scripting languages (Bash, Python).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• Experience leading technical teams and managing projects in a Remote setting.
• Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices.
