Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Architect to lead data centre architectural design across projects. You will coordinate across disciplines, develop detailed design solutions, and ensure quality from concept through construction.

The role requires registration as a SACAP professional and a minimum of eight years’ experience. Hybrid work setup with onboarding at an AECOM office is provided for flexibility and collaboration.

Qualifications

• BArch or BSc in Architecture is required.
• Over 8 years of experience as an Architect.
• Registration as a full SACAP Professional Architect.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver architectural discipline involvement across data centre projects.
• Develop design solutions for data centre infrastructure, including calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with briefs, specifications, and standards.
• Coordinate design across architecture and cross-disciplinary teams for integrated solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff on design methodologies and best practices.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation, including specifications and drawings.

Registered as a full Professional Architect (SACAP)
