Job summary

AECOM seeks a Candidate Architect (Data Centre) to join our Enterprise Capabilities team in South Africa. You will work under supervision to develop and finalise project elements, contributing to architectural design, BIM modelling and technical documentation.

With 1–2 years post-qualification experience and SACAP Candidate Architect registration, you will collaborate across disciplines, attending design reviews and site visits to support project progression.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years relevant experience post qualification as a Junior Architect
• MArch - Masters of Architecture (Preferably)
• Registered with SACAP as Candidate Architect

Responsibilities

• The Candidate Architect serves as a developing professional in an architectural design team, developing and finalising work on specific elements of a project under the direction and supervision of a Senior Architect or designated senior team member.
• Architectural design, BIM modelling and drawing production, ensuring compliance with Design Briefs, completeness and accuracy
• Design co-ordination within Architecture and across all disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery
• Production of technical documentation, specifications and construction details in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Quality assurance and peer review of design work to maintain professional standards and project consistency

Education

MArch - Masters of Architecture (Preferably)

Registered with SACAP as Candidate Architect
