Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Professional Architect (Data Centre) in South Africa to lead architectural design and data centre infrastructure planning. You will manage BIM models, ensure design brief compliance, and coordinate across disciplines on small to medium projects.

You will mentor staff, engage clients, and drive value engineering, sustainability and regulatory compliance throughout project delivery. This role enables growth within a global infrastructure leader.

Qualifications

• B.Arch or BSc Architecture.
• 12+ Years post graduate experience.
• Professionally registered as an Architect with SACAP.

Responsibilities

• Architectural design and data centre infrastructure planning, BIM model management and drawing production.
• Design coordination within Architecture and across related disciplines.
• Coordinate with Engineering and cross-disciplinary teams to resolve conflicts and optimize solutions.
• Oversee design delivery and ensure compliance with briefs, coordination requirements and accuracy.
• Lead and mentor team members, fostering development and high performance.
