Placements24 is seeking a Lead Credit Risk Manager in Rustenburg, North West to oversee and enhance the credit risk management framework. The role requires strategic thinking, advanced risk assessment, and regulatory compliance expertise to protect financial stability.

You will lead a risk team, develop robust policies, and guide decisions on large facilities and complex transactions, ensuring alignment with Basel standards and organizational risk appetite.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in credit risk management within financial services.
• Proven leadership experience with track record of managing and developing teams.
• In-depth knowledge of credit risk modeling, portfolio management, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel Accords).
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; experience with statistical software (R, SAS) is an advantage.
• Excellent understanding of financial markets and instruments; strong communication and decision-making skills.
• Experience in Banking & Finance sector is mandatory.

• Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess portfolio resilience.
