The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in civil construction supervision, ability to read drawings, manage resources, and lead teams under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory civil construction role.
• Experience on infrastructure projects such as roads, earthworks, and pipelines.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation (e.g., OHS Act) and site safety management.
• Experience with managing subcontractors and coordinating various trades.
• Trade qualification or certificate in construction supervision is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities on civil engineering sites, including roads, water, and sewer projects.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Coordinate and direct the work of construction crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators.
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Monitor progress against project schedules, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality of workmanship and materials.
• Maintain daily site records, including progress reports, safety logs, and personnel attendance.
• Manage site resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Resolve on-site issues and conflicts promptly and professionally.
