Placements24 is seeking a practical Construction Supervisor for projects in the Upington, Northern Cape area. You will directly supervise earthworks, road construction, and associated civil activities, ensuring safety, quality, and progress on site.

Ideal candidates have hands-on earthmoving experience, a strong civil construction background, and the ability to lead a site crew while coordinating with engineers and project managers to meet objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Construction Supervisor/Foreman in earthworks and civil infrastructure.
• Strong ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specs.
• Solid understanding of compaction, concrete works, and road construction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily earthworks and civil construction crews.
• Ensure work follows engineering plans, specs, and safety standards.
• Manage plant and equipment operations on site.
• Monitor quality of earthworks, compaction, concrete placement, and other civil activities.
• Enforce site safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain daily progress reports: labour, equipment usage, materials.
• Coordinate with surveyors for accurate setting out and levels.
• Assist in planning daily work sequences and resource allocation.
• Manage material deliveries and site stock.
• Address on-site issues or conflicts promptly and effectively.
