Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Construction Supervisor to oversee road and infrastructure projects in Nelspruit and Mpumalanga. You will manage on-site operations, enforce plans, quality standards, and safety regulations while coordinating labour and resources for efficient execution.

The ideal candidate has proven supervision experience on road projects, strong leadership and reading of engineering plans, and solid knowledge of health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or Foreman on road and infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and practices.
• Experience working on projects in the Nelspruit region is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities including earthworks, paving, drainage, and utilities.
• Ensure work aligns with project specifications and safety protocols.
• Direct crews and subcontractors to maintain productivity and quality.
• Conduct regular site inspections and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain daily logs and report progress to the Project Manager.
• Promote a strong on-site safety culture and compliance.
