Placements24 is seeking a Lead BIM Architect to spearhead ambitious urban regeneration projects in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will drive BIM-enabled design, ensuring sustainable, functional, and socially responsible outcomes across large-scale developments.

The role requires a Master’s in Architecture or Urban Design and SACAP registration, with 10+ years’ experience including 5+ in a lead role. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff, coordinating with engineers and planners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture or Urban Design.
• 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a lead/senior role on urban regeneration projects.
• Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks) and ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of South African building regulations and planning processes.
• Portfolio of urban regeneration projects with strong BIM integration and SACAP registration.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM-enabled urban regeneration design from concept to construction documentation.
• Coordinate BIM models with engineers, urban planners, and community stakeholders.
• Develop and implement advanced BIM strategies to optimize design and delivery.
• Mentor junior architects and BIM technicians, ensuring technical excellence.
• liaise with municipal authorities to facilitate project approvals.
