Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Architect to direct large-scale mixed-use urban regeneration projects in Benoni. You will shape design vision, supervise multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure architectural quality across the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a Master of Architecture with urban design specialization, SACAP registration, and 10+ years of experience delivering complex urban developments. Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Master of Architecture with Urban Design or Urban Regeneration specialization.
• Registered with SACAP.
• At least 10 years' experience leading complex mixed-use urban regeneration projects.
• Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary design teams and stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of urban planning legislation, heritage conservation, and sustainable building practices in SA.
• Expert BIM (Revit) skills and urban design visualization tools.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Compelling portfolio of innovative mixed-use urban development projects.
• Experience in community engagement and facilitating public participation.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and development of large-scale mixed-use urban regeneration projects.
• Develop innovative, contextually sensitive design solutions.
