About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary and experienced Lead Architect to guide design initiatives for their diverse portfolio of construction projects in Stellenbosch, Western Cape . This senior role requires a blend of creative design talent, technical expertise, and strong leadership to manage architectural teams and ensure the successful execution of design concepts. You will play a crucial part in shaping the aesthetic and functional aspects of our developments, working collaboratively with clients, engineers, and construction teams to bring architectural visions to life. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from conceptualization through to construction documentation and administration.
• Manage and mentor junior architectural staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative design environment.
• Develop architectural designs that meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and project objectives.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure design integrity and constructability.
• Conduct site visits and design reviews to ensure conformity with approved plans and specifications.

Requirements

• A professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Professional registration with the South African Institute of Architects (SAIA) or equivalent.
• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in architectural design and practice, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience managing complex architectural projects from start to finish.
• Expert proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp).
• Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methodologies .
