Switch Recruit (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Driver Manager to oversee a dedicated fleet of owner‑drivers in a fast paced last mile operation. You will manage daily performance, compliance, engagement and productivity for about 17 drivers while driving service delivery and efficiency.

The role suits a hands-on logistics professional who thrives under pressure, leads teams and delivers outstanding customer service in a dynamic environment. Based in Cape Town.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience within logistics, fleet operations, transport management or last mile delivery environments.
• Proven experience with route management, driver performance monitoring and delivery optimisation systems.
• Strong driver management experience, including coaching, compliance management, performance monitoring and real time issue resolution.
• Experience in managing owner-drivers or delivery teams in a high-volume, service-driven operation.
• Experience with reporting using MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a dedicated fleet of owner-drivers and drive performance.
• Manage daily performance, compliance, engagement and productivity of drivers.
• Ensure exceptional service delivery and operational efficiency in a fast-paced last mile setting.
• Lead and coach drivers to improve routes, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
