Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a qualified Land Surveyor to join its Paarl surveying team. You will perform cadastral surveys to define property boundaries, topographical surveys for engineering design, and construction stake-outs on diverse projects across the Western Cape.

You will use total stations, GPS, and laser scanners, process data with AutoCAD Civil 3D and LSS, and ensure compliance with SA surveying regulations while working largely independently in the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Surveying.
• Professional registration with the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC) as a Professional Land Surveyor.
• Minimum of 5 years of cadastral and engineering surveying experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cadastral surveys to define property boundaries and prepare subdivision diagrams.
• Perform topographical surveys, setting out points, and as-built surveys for engineering projects.
• Utilize total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
• Process survey data using specialized software and prepare survey plans and reports.
• Ensure compliance with the Land Survey Act and other relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and developers to provide essential survey data.
