Placements24 in Benoni, Gauteng, is seeking a proactive Land Development Engineer to lead planning, design, and execution of development projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. You will manage site grading, utility design, and stormwater, ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with surveyors, architects, and construction teams, prepare drawings and permit applications, conduct feasibility studies, and coordinate with authorities to deliver projects on time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in land development engineering and site design.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related design software.
• Solid understanding of grading, stormwater management (SUDs), and utility design.

Responsibilities

• Design site plans including grading, drainage, utility layouts (water, sewer, storm), and access roads for development projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and permit applications for submission to local authorities.
• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies to assess development potential and constraints.
• Ensure designs comply with local zoning ordinances, building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with surveyors, architects, landscape architects, and other consultants to integrate designs.
• Provide construction support and site inspection services to ensure adherence to design plans.
