Job summary

Greys Recruitment is seeking a skilled L1 IT Support Engineer for an onsite role in Alberton, Gauteng. You will provide first-line technical support to end users, troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues, and log incidents in the ticketing system.

You will escalate more complex problems when needed and deliver courteous customer service. The ideal candidate has a Grade 12, IT basics, 3–5 years in IT support, good communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Matric (Grade 12).
• IT qualification or relevant IT certifications advantageous.
• 3–5 years’ experience in IT support or technical environment.
• Basic knowledge of hardware, software, OS, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support to end users.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, desktop, laptop, printer, and connectivity issues.
• Assist users with IT-related queries and problems.
• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and software.
• Log and update incidents using a ticketing system.
• Resolve issues within L1 scope; escalate complex issues.
• Maintain records of support requests and resolutions.
