Job summary

Absolute Pets is seeking a Learning and Development Facilitator in Cape Town to design engaging learning content and oversee in-person trainings. The role requires national travel to support store teams and ensure consistent, high-quality customer service and product knowledge.

You will design programmes, facilitate sessions, assess learner performance, and continually improve content based on feedback from stores and managers. Prior facilitation and storytelling tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• Storyline experience is preferred for designing e-learning content.
• 2–3 years’ experience in retail or customer-facing roles.
• Prior exposure to a training or facilitation role is advantageous.
• Strong ability to design, deliver, and evaluate learning programmes.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for pet care.
• Willingness to travel locally as required.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate learning programmes and content.
• Plan and manage learning-related events and venues.
• Conduct store visits to coach employees in real-time.
• Evaluate learner performance and provide feedback.
• Coordinate with suppliers and operations on logistics.
• Support SETA submissions by maintaining training records.
• Assist HR initiatives as needed.
