Job summary

Syspro is seeking a Junior Kubernetes Architect to support design, deployment, and day-to-day operations of our Kubernetes platform under guidance from the Senior Architect. You will gain depth in container orchestration, cloud infrastructure, and AI-assisted tooling to enable reliable multi-tenancy.

You will help with cluster configurations, RBAC, IaC assets, incident response, and documentation, in a Hybrid office setting in Sandton, South Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent NQF Level 7
• 1–3 years in cloud infra/DevOps or IT ops role with basic Kubernetes exposure
• Familiarity with Linux administration and CLI

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing Kubernetes cluster configurations, namespaces, and workloads
• Support day-to-day Kubernetes operations: deployments, upgrades, patching, health monitoring
• Implement and maintain RBAC policies, quotas, and network policies
• Contribute to IaC assets: Helm charts, Terraform modules, deployment manifests
• Participate in incident response and troubleshooting with runbooks and documentation
• Learn and apply AI-assisted tooling for Kubernetes management
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and runbooks
