Job summary

Danté Personnel Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented Kitchen Stock Controller for an established hospitality resort in Tzaneen, Limpopo. The role focuses on managing inventory, monitoring stock movements, and ensuring accurate stock records with effective cost control.

Ideal candidates will have at least five years in stock control, relevant hospitality qualifications, and strong numerical/administrative skills, plus Excel proficiency for stock management systems.

Qualifications

• Five years' stock control or inventory experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Qualification in Stock Control, Inventory Management, Supply Chain or Hospitality.
• Experience handling food stock and perishable goods.
• Knowledge of stocktaking, stock rotation and inventory reconciliation.
• Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and stock management systems.
• Strong numerical, organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect deliveries against orders and delivery notes.
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory systems.
• Issue stock according to approved requisitions.
• Conduct regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor expiry dates and implement stock rotation procedures.
• Ensure correct storage of food items and kitchen supplies.
• Monitor stock levels and report replenishment requirements.
• Minimise wastage and prevent stock losses.
• Maintain clean, organised and secure storage areas.
• Liaise with the kitchen, purchasing team and suppliers.
