Placements24 is seeking a strategic and community-focused Sports Programme Development Officer to lead the creation and implementation of new sports initiatives in Kimberley. You will identify community needs, design engaging programs, and foster partnerships with local schools, clubs, and organizations to boost participation and promote active lifestyles.

Qualifications

Experience in sports development, program management, or community outreach.
Strong understanding of sports management principles and youth development.
Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills.
Grant writing and fundraising experience is a significant advantage.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of the Kimberley sporting landscape and community resources preferred.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities and needs for new sports programs within the community.
Design, develop, and implement inclusive sports programs for various age groups and abilities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local sports clubs, schools, community groups, and stakeholders.
Secure funding and resources for program development and sustainability through grant writing and partnership development.
Organize and oversee the delivery of sports events, workshops, and training sessions.
Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
