Job summary

Dante Personnel in Gauteng is seeking an experienced sales leader to drive national key accounts within the FMCG sector. The role requires handling major retail buyers and category managers, with strong pricing and promotional oversight, and a proven leadership record.

Candidates should have 3+ years of supervisory experience, robust Excel skills, and a proactive, commercially driven approach to achieve profitability across listings, ranges and promotions.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is essential.
• Tertiary qualification preferred but not essential if strong FMCG and key account experience.
• 5-7 years' relevant sales experience; 3+ years' supervisory/management experience.
• Strong FMCG/national retail supplier experience with major retail/national key accounts.
• Experience dealing directly with retail buyers and category managers.
• Strong internal sales and order management experience; exposure to product listings, range reviews and promotions.
• Strong sales reporting, analysis and forecasting skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 - essential

• 5-7 years' relevant sales experience
• 3+ years' supervisory / management experience
• Strong FMCG / national retail supplier experience
• Proven experience managing major retail / national key accounts
• Experience dealing directly with retail buyers and category managers
• Strong Internal Sales and order management experience
• Experience with product listings, range reviews and promotions
• Strong sales reporting, analysis and forecasting skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel - Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas and analysis
• Strong commercial understanding of pricing, margins, promotions and profitability
• Export, cross-border, distributor, broker or agent experience advantageous
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive and commercially driven
