Job summary

Communicate Recruitment in Cape Town, South Africa seeks a Mechanical Engineer with 2–4 years of technical engineering experience. You will compile specifications, perform design calculations, and support pressure vessels, piping systems, and related equipment throughout the design lifecycle.

You will review drawings and prepare technical documentation for stakeholders. The role benefits from CAD skills (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) and an understanding of manufacturing processes and production

Qualifications

• BEng / BSc in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Understanding of mechanical design principles and drawings.

Job description

Job Description:

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 - 4 years' technical engineering experience
• Experience within a pressure vessel and/or manufacturing environment will be advantageous
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical design and pressure vessel principles
• Basic understanding of ASME codes and pressure equipment design will be beneficial
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar
• Ability to interpret and produce engineering and manufacturing drawings
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments

Qualification:

• BEng / BSc in Mechanical Engineering
