Job summary

Communicate Recruitment is seeking a senior mechanical design leader in Cape Town to guide a high-performing team from concept through production. You will mentor engineers, allocate resources, and interface with customers to meet strict specifications.

The role requires extensive experience in product design, design reviews, and engineering governance, with international travel as needed. A BEng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering is required, and residency in SA is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years' post-graduate engineering design experience.
• Strong background in product design and engineering development.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering or design teams.
• Strong project management and resource planning capabilities.
• Experience conducting design reviews and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.

Responsibilities
