Job summary

The Talent Room is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance to users both remotely and onsite in George. You will diagnose hardware, software and network issues, assist with installation and maintenance of IT equipment, and support printers and peripherals.

The role requires basic Windows knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, good communication, and a valid driver’s license. Opportunities to learn and grow within IT are available.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent; IT-related certification advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of Windows OS, networking and hardware.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to learn and grow within IT.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to users, remotely and onsite.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist with installation, configuration and maintenance of IT equipment.
• Set up and support printers, desktops, laptops and other peripherals.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
• Perform routine system checks and updates.
• Assist senior technicians with projects and onsite client support.
