Job summary

YesPlay is seeking a motivated Junior IT Support Technician to join our Cape Town office. You will provide day-to-day IT support, manage Google Workspace, Linux workstations (Ubuntu), and assist with network security and DevOps-related tasks.

The role offers practical experience in enterprise Linux environments, exposure to DevOps tools, and mentoring to grow within IT Operations. Onsite office-based with standard hours.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate/Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Basic Linux knowledge (Ubuntu preferred).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
• Basic scripting knowledge (Bash or Python) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Administer Google Workspace accounts and NextDNS security.
• Install and maintain Ubuntu Linux workstations.
• Assist with deployment and maintenance in DevOps processes.
• Document procedures and contribute to IT security policies.
