Our client in Montague Gardens, Western Cape, seeks aJunior IT Support Technician to join their team and provide first-line IT support.

You will assist with Microsoft 365 administration, device setup for new staff, and basic network tasks while upholding security policies. This entry-level role offers hands-on exposure to IT projects and a proactive learning environment, with opportunities to grow in a dynamic engineering and manufacturing setting.

Formación

• 1 year of IT support or helpdesk experience.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 apps.
• Exposure to Active Directory/Azure AD and IT asset tools.

Responsabilidades

Our client, an engineering and manufacturing company, is seeking a Junior IT Support Technician to join their team in Montague Gardens, Western Cape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line IT support by troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues, managing helpdesk tickets and keeping users updated
• Assist with Microsoft 365 administration, including user accounts, licensing, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and Copilot support
• Configure and prepare devices for new employees, maintain the IT asset register, and assist with hardware upgrades and replacements
• Support basic network and infrastructure tasks, including Wi-Fi troubleshooting, site checks, and escalation of more complex technical issues
• Assist with IT projects, upgrades and migrations while following security policies, maintaining documentation and reporting potential security risks

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in IT support or helpdesk, with relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ and/or N+ advantageous
• Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams and OneDrive, and fundamental networking concepts
• Exposure to Active Directory/Azure AD and IT asset management tools such as Lansweeper
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn
