Placements24 is seeking a motivated Junior Insurance Broker in Klerksdorp, North West, to learn from senior brokers and grow in insurance sales and client advisory services.

You will identify client needs, advise on appropriate life, short-term and health products, prepare quotes, and maintain client records. This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility, with mentorship and training to build your industry qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
• A passion for sales and a strong desire to build a career in the insurance industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to obtain relevant industry qualifications (e.g., RE5, FAIS accreditation) as required.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Must be able to work from the Klerksdorp office on designated days.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior brokers in prospecting for new clients and identifying sales opportunities.
• Understand client needs and provide advice on appropriate insurance products (e.g., life, short-term, health).
• Prepare quotes and proposals for clients based on their specific requirements.
• Explain policy terms, conditions, and benefits clearly to prospective clients.
• Process new business applications and renewals accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain client records and update information in the brokerage management system.
• Handle client inquiries and provide ongoing support and service.
• Liaise with insurance companies to obtain quotes and clarify policy details.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and ethical sales practices.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
