Placements24 is seeking a motivated Insurance Broker to join a client-focused practice in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. The hybrid role combines client interaction, advisory work, and relationship management to drive retention and growth.

You will assess client needs across personal and commercial lines, source quotes, explain policy terms, and negotiate with insurers to secure the best terms. A strong communication and negotiation background is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an insurance broker or in a client-facing insurance sales role.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or professional designation in insurance or financial services (e.g., RE5, NQF Level 4/5).
• Ability to analyze client needs and provide tailored advice.
• Proficiency with CRM and broker management software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with individual and commercial clients.
• Assess clients' insurance needs and recommend suitable products and coverage.
• Source competitive quotes from a range of insurance providers.
• Explain policy terms, conditions, and benefits clearly to clients.
• Negotiate terms and premiums with insurers on behalf of clients.
• Manage the sales process from initial contact to policy placement.
• Handle client inquiries, claims support, and policy adjustments.
• Stay current with industry developments, new products, and regulatory changes.
• Achieve and exceed personal and team sales targets.
• Provide exceptional post-sale service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
