Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Junior Industrial Engineer to join their Kimberley team. This entry-level role offers an opportunity for recent graduates to apply theory, develop practical skills in process improvement, and contribute to operational efficiency under the guidance of senior engineers.

You will learn industrial engineering methodologies, participate in Lean initiatives, and support documentation and reporting of project progress to help drive continuous improvement in Kimberley.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering required.
• Limited to 2 years of experience, including internships or co-op programs.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Strong desire to learn and develop professionally in industrial engineering.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in analyzing production processes and identifying areas for enhancement.
• Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools under supervision.
• Conduct data collection and analysis for various engineering projects.
• Help in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Participate in plant walkthroughs and problem-solving sessions.
• Contribute to the documentation and reporting of project progress and findings in Kimberley.
