Placements24 is seeking a Junior Industrial Engineer for its Paarl team. The role provides hands-on experience in process analysis, optimization, and implementation, supporting senior engineers to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Ideal for recent graduates starting a career in industrial engineering. You will collaborate with production staff, participate in time and motion studies, and contribute to documentation and reporting on process improvements and metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and process optimization.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in analyzing production processes and identifying areas for improvement.
• Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and best practices.
• Help to collect and analyze production data to monitor performance and identify trends.
• Participate in time and motion studies and assist in the development of work instructions.
• Collaborate with production staff to understand operational challenges and implement solutions.
• Contribute to documentation and reporting related to process improvements and operational metrics.
