Job summary

Jobtailor in Sandton seeks an experienced hardware technician to service retail installations and perform remote diagnostics under supervision. You will maintain the configuration management system and handle installation or removal of hardware and software following provided instructions.

Support fellow technicians using remote tools and ensure reliable hardware support across retail sites. Candidates should hold MCSA/MCSE or Linux certifications (LPIC 1 & 2, Certified Linux Administrator,

Qualifications

2+ years’ experience in attending to, and installing hardware solutions within a retail environment.
MCSA/MCSE certification or equivalent Linux certifications (LPIC 1 & 2, Certified Linux Administrator, CompTIA Linux+).
Driver's licence and reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

Provision of routine hardware service, or remote diagnostic activities, under close supervision.
Maintain the configuration management system.
Perform the full range of tasks associated with operating and controlling installed hardware and software.
Install or remove hardware and/or software following supplied instructions.
Support fellow technicians using remote tools.
