Job summary

PSG Konsult Ltd. in Pretoria, Gauteng, seeks an Equity Trader to join the equity research and trading team in a permanent, junior role. The candidate will execute non-discretionary client instructions and trade on managed accounts while providing administrative and technical support to the team.

The role requires a BCom degree and 3–5 years in trading or portfolio management. Proficiency with data tools and a passion for equity markets are essential.

Qualifications

• Completed BCom Degree (Finance / Investments / Accounting / Economics).
• 3–5 years experience in Trading or Portfolio Management.
• Passed the JSE Registered Traders Examination.
• Registered Persons Examinations (Advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Administrative support to the trading team.
• Data collection for equity research reports using Bloomberg, Iress and Morningstar.
• MS Excel modelling and data screening; analysis of large data sets.
• Assist with performance reporting of client portfolios.
• Analyse company results locally and offshore; strong accounting background advantageous.
• Portfolio management and trading on behalf of clients; client inquiries handled.
