PSG Konsult Ltd. in Pretoria, Gauteng, seeks an Equity Trader to join the equity research and trading team in a permanent, junior role. The candidate will execute non-discretionary client instructions and trade on managed accounts while providing administrative and technical support to the team.

The role requires a BCom degree and 3–5 years in trading or portfolio management. Proficiency with data tools and a passion for equity markets are essential.

Formación

• Completed BCom Degree (Finance / Investments / Accounting / Economics).
• 3–5 years experience in Trading or Portfolio Management.
• Passed the JSE Registered Traders Examination.
• Registered Persons Examinations (Advantageous).

Responsabilidades

This is anopportunity to join a well-established office and join the equity research andtrading team in a junior position. We require an experienced individual (3-5years) with a BCom degree to join our team as an Equity Trader. In this roleyou execute non-discretionary client instructions as well as trade on managedclient accounts according to our model. In addition, you will provideadministrative as well as technical support to existing team members, assistwith data collection for equity research and provide portfolio performancefeedback reports.

Responsibilities:

• Administrative support tothe trading team
• Data collection for equityresearch reports. Should be comfortable with a Bloomberg terminal, Iressas well as Morningstar to compile the necessary data to be used in equityresearch.
• MS Excel skills areessential as a large part of the program will require modelling andscreening on excel. Administrative functions also requires the analysisand interpretation of large data sets.
• Assist the performancereporting of client portfolios.
• Analysis of companyresults. You will receive a set of companies that you are required tocover both locally and offshore. A strong accounting background is anadvantage.
• Portfolio Management – youwill be required to manage client portfolios
• Trading – you will beexpected to trade on behalf of clients and implement trade instructions.
