Job summary

BCXP seeks a Tech Officer: Jnr Customer Engineer (FS) to provide routine hardware service and remote diagnostics under supervision. You will use CMDB tools and follow installation instructions to ensure client SLAs are met, with local travel required.

Applicants should have at least 2 years’ hardware experience in retail, relevant IT certifications, and the ability to work extended hours when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in attending to and installing hardware solutions within the Retail Environment.
• NQF 4: Grade 12 National Diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications in IT: COMPTIA, MCSA/MCSE, LPIC 1/2 or Linux+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provision of routine hardware service or remote diagnostic activities under close supervision.
• Maintain CMDB and configuration management practices.
• Install or remove hardware/software following instructions and plans.
• Provide telephonic remote support to fellow technicians and customers.
• Drive service level agreements (SLA) through effective task execution.
