Werfnet invites a motivated Junior Civil Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. The candidate will develop skills in warehouse developments, water and sewer infrastructure, and private development projects, under the guidance of senior engineers.

The role focuses on assisting with design, site visits, drawings, and collaboration with contractors and clients to ensure compliance with standards and project milestones. A Civil Engineering degree and strong teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering Degree from a recognised institution.
• Exposure to civil engineering projects advantageous.
• Interest in warehouse, commercial and private development projects.
• Knowledge of water and sewer systems advantageous.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and development of civil engineering projects.
• Assist with projects involving warehouse and industrial developments.
• Support projects for private property developers.
• Assist with the design and planning of water and sewer infrastructure.
• Prepare and review drawings, designs and documentation.
• Assist with site inspections and monitor construction progress.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants and clients when required.
• Assist senior engineers with project planning and technical requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Ensure engineering work complies with relevant standards and specifications.
• Assist with project reports, calculations and technical documentation.
• Develop practical knowledge and experience under the guidance of senior engineers.
