JUNIOR CIVIL ENGINEER

A well-established engineering company is looking for a motivated Junior Civil Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering Degree and an interest in developing their career within the civil engineering and property development environment.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to warehouse developments, private developers, water and sewer infrastructure projects, as well as various civil engineering design and site activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design and development of civil engineering projects.
• Assist with projects involving warehouse and industrial developments.
• Support projects for private property developers.
• Assist with the design and planning of water and sewer infrastructure.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, designs and engineering documentation.
• Assist with site inspections and monitor construction progress.

Requirements:

• Civil Engineering Degree from a recognised institution such as UCT, Stellenbosch University or Sol Tech.
• Previous exposure to civil engineering projects will be advantageous.

• Knowledge or exposure to water and sewer systems will be advantageous.
• Good technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work under the guidance of senior engineers.
