Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with an LLB degree.
• 0–3 years PQE in commercial law.
• Strong academic record and interest in commercial/corporate law.
• Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior lawyers with drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
• Draft, review, and amend commercial agreements and leases.
• Support due diligence for corporate transactions.
• Assist in managing client relationships and communications.
• Prepare court documents and pleadings under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and amend commercial agreements, leases, and other legal documents.
• Support the due diligence process for corporate transactions.
• Assist in managing client relationships and communication.
• Prepare court documents and pleadings under supervision.
• Attend client meetings and potentially court appearances with senior lawyers.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant South African laws and legal practices.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with an LLB degree.
• 0-3 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law.
• A strong academic record and a demonstrated interest in commercial and corporate law.
