About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and growing enterprise located in Benoni , is seeking an ambitious and bright Junior Legal Advisor to join their in-house legal team. This is an office-based role, offering a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified or junior lawyer to gain hands-on experience in a variety of corporate and commercial legal matters. You will work closely with senior legal counsel, providing support on contract drafting and review, corporate governance, compliance, and dispute resolution. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial agreements (e.g., NDAs, service agreements, supply agreements).
• Provide support on corporate governance matters, including board resolutions and shareholder agreements.
• Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Assist in ensuring company compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
• Support the legal team in managing litigation and dispute resolution processes.
• Help maintain corporate records and statutory registers.
• Liaise with external counsel when required.
• Assist with general legal advice to various business units.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney (Right of Appearance essential).
• Law degree (LLB) and up to 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong foundational knowledge of South African contract law and company law.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
