Job summary
Sigma Connected Group is seeking an experienced IT Team Manager for its Cape Town (office-based) operation. You will lead and develop the on-site IT team, act as the technical authority, and drive service excellence across the Service Desk and engineering functions.
You will build strong stakeholder relationships, guide continuous improvement, and align IT services with business needs. The role emphasizes leadership, delivery, and team capability development in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in IT support and service delivery within a complex enterprise.
- Strong technical expertise across Windows 11, M365, AD, Entra ID and Intune.
- Experience leading technical teams, setting priorities and guiding delivery.
- Familiarity with ITSM processes, incident and request handling, and KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day IT Service Desk and on-site engineering team.
- Coordinate ticket processing, resolution, and escalation procedures.
- Act as escalation point for high-severity incidents and outages.
- Communicate planned work and outages to customers.
- Collaborate with IT peers on problem management and projects.
- Provide reports on call volumes, trends, and service performance.
- Manage on-site engineers' rota and resource coverage.
